Conichi – Berlin based Hotel App with Beacon Technology

The modern traveler relies on their smartphone for everything: to check in for flights, pay for taxis and to seek out the next culinary delight. But as soon as they enter a hotel, this futuristic way of life abruptly ends. Suddenly you’re confronted with queues and paperwork when all you want to do is conveniently head up to your room.

This is why Frederic Haitz and Maximilian Waldmann founded conichi in 2014. conichi helps hotels offer memorable service experiences for the digital traveler. The key: their own software and beacon technology. conichi senses when a guest enters the hotel and instantaneously delivers all relevant information to the concierge so they can personally greet and tailor the stay while letting guests check in & out and pay via the app.

Hotels treat every guest like a VIP and travelers get digital convenience they’re used to from other apps. Renowned brands, such as Hotel Zoo, are relying on conichi to digitalize their check in experience.

About Conichi:

Berlin-based Startup Conichi is the hotel app which connects guest and hotels during their stay to provide a better guest experience. The company was founded in 2014 by Maximilian Waldmann & Frederic Haitz to personalize hotel service through a smart yet accessible software solution. How does it works? Conichi simplifies check-in and check-out at hotels by using beacon technology to display  guest´s personal preferences —such as allergies, room amenities, or late check-outs— onto a tablet held at the reception once a guest enters a hotel. The Berlin-based startup also enables travellers to pay the hotel bill or mini bar from within the app to make for a faster checkout. Conichi claims this is the first time mobile payment is widely available to hotels across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The startup is currently working with 50 partner hotels in the last three countries but will continue to focus on that region initially.
