Einhorn – Berlin Startup for Vegan Condoms Production

Waldemar and Philip founded einhorn, challenging the status quo of an everyday product that nobody loves but everybody needs! On their quest to give love back to condoms (yes, they make condoms) they thrive to produce a fair and sustainable design condom which is vegan. “Well, if this isn’t something”, they say, “we don’t know what is!” Check them out on Facebook or their crazy website. They are called “einhorn” which translates into unicorn, nothing else was expected of this magical condom!

About Einhorn:

Einhorn-based Berlin Startup produces the first genuinely fair and sustainable condom. The company connect good design and a daily lifestyle product with fair business. First of all, they package the condoms in chip bags designed by prominent designers. And on the other hand,  50% of their profits go into social and sustainability projects. Everyone involved in the condom making process – the nature and the people – have a stake in their approach. Their Fairstainability targets range from fair wages in the whole production process through minimizing their CO2 footprint to increasing the biodiversity on the plantations where the rubber for the condoms comes from. Waldemar Zeiler und Philip Siefer, founders of the startup,  are already committed 50 experienced entrepreneurs to found at least one social business, in their lifetime, that leaves a “positive footprint” behind and that also reinvests 50 percent of the profits into social or environmental projects.
