Ascribe – Berlin startup for Digital Rights Management

Ascribe lets creators sell their valuable digital works with simple licensing and transfer. Creators, marketplaces and consumers can confirm authorship, track digital editions and view ownership history of digital works. By knowing the provenance of digital works, digital property can be re-sold as if it were physical property by anyone, opening up new possibilities for consumers and marketplaces to trade authentic, limited edition digital art, photography, designs, books and virtual goods anywhere on earth. Founded in August 2014 by Masha McConaghy, Trent McConaghy and Bruce Pon, ascribe helps creators to manage their valuable digital creation using revolutionary blockchain, artificial intelligence and web crawl technologies.

About Ascribe:

Berlin-based Startup Ascribe manages valuable digital creations. Artists, designers, and creative workers can share easily on the internet, but keeping it as “theirs” with proper attribution or getting fairly compensated has proven difficult. It doesn’t have to be about monetization, it can simply be about attribution.  Ascribe want to give everyone the power to own and control their intellectual property in the digital age. The company was founded in 2014 by Masha McConaghy, Trent McConaghy and Bruce Pon. The ascribe team has built over a dozen companies and has decades of experience in technology, art, law, and finance. They are based in Berlin, the city that best represents the intersection of new media art & tech.
