What inspired you to found your startup?

Back in 2015, I got a call from my father. He said: “Son, I cannot send E-mails anymore”. After asking a few diagnostic questions, I had narrowed down the problem and solved it. I saw the analogy to customer support and decided to build an algorithm based on that approach.

How are you different? What is your unique value proposition?

Our virtual agents only use multiple-choice questions. By using the unique approach of dynamically generated decision trees, we can proudly state that we automate > 80% of the end consumer requests within an average of 12 seconds. In addition, our system is SaaS – quick to setup and easy to use.

How do you define success for yourself and your company?

Our guiding north star is to build software that helps consumers and saves them time. The more, the better. In a few years, 1,000,000 people could be interacting with our virtual agents each day.

What do you want to achieve next year?

We’d like to quadruple our revenues, onboard more customers, and ultimately help more end consumers. While working hard to achieve that, we will be having a lot of fun together as a team.

Why do people want to work at your company?

Because of our team. We are truly living an open culture that empowers individuals. In addition, we have a high tech SaaS product that makes service better for millions of consumers, and we’re just at the beginning of our journey.

What has been the most important milestone so far?

Reaching product-market fit in 2017. We’ve had several paying customers who loved (not liked!) our product. We saw that it’s working. Given this important milestone we started to accelerate the growth of the company.

Looking back at your whole development story — what makes you most proud?

We haven’t lost a single customer so far, but we’ve expanded our relationship with them.

Where do you see your company in 5 years?

Our virtual agents are implemented by thousands of companies across the globe, and we are solving 100+ million customer requests annually.

What is your impression of launching a startup from your based city?

Berlin is the place to be in Europe. It has a thriving tech scene with great talent and capital. We wouldn’t want to be anywhere else!

What is your impression of the german startup scene? Would you change anything?

The German startup scene is growing rapidly and also maturing. If I had one wish, then I’d like to see more deep tech startups.
