How do you define success for yourself and your company?
We are a B2B business in the marketing space, so we are successful when our customers are successful.Your answer We want to reduce complexity for marketers and enable them to autonomously develop, execute, and optimise highly targeted and personalized messages across all marketing channels using “best of breed” tools.
What problem does your product solve?
We enable our customers to execute a consistent communication strategy across all channels in real-time. The best-of-breed approach allows our customers to pick the provider that best satisfies their needs in each channel and to stay agile in the changing marketing environment.

How are you different?
CrossEngage is a Customer Engagement Platform that combines a high-performant customer data platform with cross-channel campaign management capabilities, enabling marketers to react to customer behavior in real time. CrossEngage easily integrates with all data sources and marketing channels so that existing infrastructure does not need to be replaced
How often does your product/service show up in a user’s day or week?
Impact: how are you doing good and building a better future?
We allow our customers provide the right information to their users in the right moment. This allows them to make informed choices without being annoyed with ads.
How has the startup scene in Berlin changed?
If we recap the developments in the Berlin VC and startup scene in recent years, quite a lot has happened and the ecosystem has grown more mature. There is a larger number of diversified investors providing access to bigger funds and founders as well as talents in various fields have become more experienced and organised.
What are the pros and cons of launching your startup from Berlin?
Berlin offers a more opportunities and a more exciting environment for each one of our employees than any other city in Europe. Entering the US market, however, is more difficult if you’re based in Berlin.
Bonus Question: Anything else that we need to know about you?
In the past, Markus has already developed technical solutions to cope with his own operational challenges in CRM. Florian Heinemann, Partner at Project A, realized that a lot of companies have issues implementing orchestrated cross-channel marketing. They joined forces and started working on what later became CrossEngage’s customer data platform. Manuel joined the team and co-founded CrossEngage together with Markus.
