What inspired you to found your startup?
There are many legal-tech startups, which take care of specific areas such as flight delay or traffic fines. The typical cases where a person needs a lawyer are not covered though. We wanted to change this.
How do you define success for yourself and your company?
We want to provide a product, which (preferably) helps many people to claim their rights – as easy as the booking of a travel.
Is there anything you’d do differently if you could do it again?
During our first year we took many wrong decisions, but we also learnt a lot. Of course we could have avoided some mistakes. If we could start over again though, today our product would look similar to now. We would have simply been there faster.
What problem does your product solve?
Many people don‘t go to a lawyer because they think that they cannot afford it. Therefore 70% of users‘ claims are not enforced. This is what we are changing right now.
Where do you see your company in 1/5/10 years?
1 year: when a user has a legal problem he asks first Google and then looks for a solution at FragRobin.
5 years: when a user has a legal problem, he looks for a solution directly at FragRobin.
10 years: when a user has a legal problem, he can be sure that FragRobin will solve it for him.
How are you different?
FragRobin gives individual and free instant answers to legal questions from over 100 fields. Nobody else achieves this.
How often does your product/service show up in a user’s day or week?
Nobody wishes users to face often legal concerns. When there is a legal question though, we want to be the constant companion along the users´ life.
Impact: how are you doing good and building a better future?
We offer many users a simple access to their rights. This is really a step forward.
How has the startup scene in Berlin changed?
We cannot speak generally about the startup scene. However, we notice that already many new legal-tech startups are inspired by us and try to offer similar services.
What are the pros and cons of launching your startup from Berlin?
Pros: Berlin is a great city.
Cons: Anything pops up to our mind.
