What inspired you to found your startup?
The idea for Geblitzt.de first came up at a discussion to create a Website to acquire traffic law mandates and to simplify the related work processes for the attorney. During the conversation, the two founders (an internet entrepreneur and a lawyer) developed the idea of a free legal aid for traffic offenses- Geblitzt.de was born.
How do you define success for yourself and your company?
Success for us as a company means steady growth, customer satisfaction as well as increasing sales and the associated financial security. Personally, the recognition and appreciation of our ideas is an important motivation.
Is there anything you’d do differently if you could do it again?
Apart from minor mistakes, which are part of the normal learning process, we would not change much. In particular, the independence from third parties during the starting phase was decisive for us.
What problem does your product solve?
Up to now, it was not possible to have a legal review of fines proceedings without a high financial risk, since there was no relationship between expenses and benefits. Geblitzt.de now offers this, free of charge and thanks to standardization, with higher quality and better service for the customer.
Where do you see your company in 1/5/10 years?
In one year we expect continued growth and the addition of our service by 1-2 other projects. In 5 years, we are planning a diverse portfolio of 10 to 15 Legal Tech products. In 10 years, our products will have completely and sustainably changed the market for legal services.
How are you different?
Geblitzt.de provides its attorneys with a software which standardizes workflows, thus reducing the time required for efficient processing of the cases. In addition, there is a unique online strategy for acquiring mandates, which has been unusual for lawyers so far.
How often does your product/service show up in a user’s day or week?
Serveral times a year.
Impact: how are you doing good and building a better future?
Legal Tech and Geblitzt.de change the access to law. Hurdles for the enforcement of own interests are reduced, the protection of consumers interests is sustainably strengthened and the quality of legal services improves.

Berlin has advantages and disadvantages for startups. A clear advantage is the close networking and the associated speed in the implementation of ideas. A disadvantage is the scarcity of developers and professional staff.
