Through its custom-developed Skills Graph and using semantic analysis, classification algorithms and user feedback, Jobspotting recommends the most relevant jobs and companies. Their vision is to organize the world’s recruitment market so that finding a job may become an exciting and inspirational experience. With close to 100,000 tracked companies in their database, they currently serve almost 10,000 new jobs to users each day. Founded in Berlin by three ex-“Googlers” (Jan Backes, Hessam Lavi, Manuel Holtz) and a former “Axel Springerite” (Robin Haak), Jobspotting was launched in January 2015 in the UK and Germany. What comes next? Jobspotting will expand globally to make a painless job search available to professionals world-wide.

About Jobspotting:

Jobspotting is a recommendations engine that suggests relevant jobs to users based on their skills and experience. The engine is powered by Skills Graph and Semantic Analysis technology. The company was founded in 2013 in Berlin, Germany by ex-Googlers Hessam Lavi, Jan Backes and Manuel Holtz. Robin Haak joined the founding team in 2014 after meeting them through the Axel Springer Plug and Play Accelerator Programme, of which he was a co-founder. The personalisation of the Internet brought major changes to established verticals such as news, media, entertainment, and e-commerce. The majority of people discover relevant content through innovations that offer a unique and tailored experience. Personalised job discovery is the next natural step in this vertical, and Jobspotting brings the same rich user experience found in discovery engines such as Netflix, Pandora, Flipboard and Google Now to millions of job seekers.
