Interview with KONUX

What inspired you to found your startup?

The urgent need for digitization of traditional industries, like railway. The rise of new technologies, like IoT AI, has proven very helpful in this context.

How are you different? What is your unique value proposition?

A unique combination of deep railway industry expertise and IoT, as well as AI.

How do you define success for yourself and your company?

Fast and sustainable growth on a large scale.

What do you want to achieve next year?

KONUX being active in up to ten countries.

Why do people want to work at your company?

We maintain a company culture where everyone understands his/her importance and where people trust one other to be able to do their designated jobs in order to drive results. Our employees love our growth culture, and everyone has equity in the company. In short: we win together, and we lose together.

What has been the most important milestone so far?

Signing Deutsche Bahn as a customer, and successful Series-B-Financing Round.

Looking back at your whole development story — what makes you most proud?

We’re still proud of being able to attract so many people with our mission.

Where do you see your company in 5 years?

As a public company, KONUX, will be the global leader of railway digitization.

What is your impression of launching a startup from your based city?

Munich is a fantastic place, and, because of its manageable size, networking here is super easy. Two universities provide an ongoing supply of incredible talent, public and private financing sources are here, there are many other founders to exchange with, and, last but not least, beautiful lakes and mountains are nearby.

What is your impression of the german startup scene? Would you change anything?

It’s continuously getting better, but there is still a lot of room for improvement, especially when it comes to growth financing. The current tickets are still way too small…
