What inspired you to found your startup?
Andreas was unhappy with the way he could manage Influencer Marketing campaigns for his customers. Felix was unhappy with the way influencers could cooperate with brands. So we took this negative motivation and turned it into something positive for the whole industry: BuzzBird.
How are you different? What is your unique value proposition?
Our team consists of brand and influencer experts. They have a deep understanding of advertising impact: from conversions to sales, as well as on social media. That is why well-known brands continuously trust our team in strategic consulting as well as efficient campaign implementation.
How do you define success for yourself and your company?
Success is when the most advanced brands work successfully and permanently with us and even recommend us. It is also when this results in best-in-class campaigns for both brands and influencers, and when we are happy, too.
What do you want to achieve next year?
Our goals are to become the best address for Influencer marketing in the German-speaking region, to define market standards, and to professionalize influencer marketing.
Why do people want to work at your company?
The issue we occupy is already very relevant, and it will be a billion dollar business. We integrate people into decision-making, and we empower people to make it happen. With a successful company like BuzzBird, our employees work directly with visionary and inspiring founders, and play in the Champions League.
What has been the most important milestone so far?
Transforming our vision into an actual product available to influencers and brands.
Looking back at your whole development story — what makes you most proud?
To revolutionize the way brands partner with influencers via a technology, which is scalable, transparent and fast.
Where do you see your company in 5 years?
BuzzBird will be the #1 partner for all top 50 media spenders worldwide.
What is your impression of launching a startup from your based city?
Berlin is an ideal city to connect with other founders, and to find highly motivated employees. Its vibrance attracts young talent: that’s a good base for growth. Berlin’s international character helped us to create the building blocks for international growth by allowing us to employ international talent from early on.
What is your impression of the german startup scene? Would you change anything?
The German Startups Association and TV shows like “Die Höhle der Löwen” shape a more positive image about startups in the public. Outstanding educational efforts like Thomas Bachem’s Code University cater to the needs of modern tech companies and should be implemented into regular school timetables.
BuzzBird was featured in “The Hundert Vol. 10 – Startups of Germany“, November 2018.
