ShareTheMeal – Helping to end world hunger in just two clicks

There are over 2 billion smartphone users and 100 million starving children worldwide. So why not create an app that can help end hunger in our world? ShareTheMeal, founded by Sebastian Stricker and Bernhard Kowatsch in cooperation with the United Nations World Food Programme, did just that. And they certainly created a viral hit: Within less than 5 weeks, 100,000 users shared over 1 million meals via the app. Each donation of 40 cents helps to feed 1 child for 1 day in Lesotho. It is easy to support this noble cause – just download the ShareTheMeal app!
