Co-Founder and CPO of Bellabeat
Q: How do you react to obstacles?
A: I have them for breakfast.
Never limit yoursefl!
When I say my path has been anything but linear, it sounds unusual, but it’s actually quite common when you’re founding a startup. I was born in 1989 in Ljubljana and studied to become a sculptor in Helsinki. During my studies, I discovered the material that I loved to work with most: wood. That was to become an inspiration for Bellabeat’s health tracking smart jewelry, the LEAF, and kickstarted my journey in designing devices to track the health of women throughout different stages of their lives. When I met Sandro, we became a couple and ended up co-founding Bellabeat in 2013.
I believe the most dangerous thing we can do in life is limit ourselves. It doesn’t matter if you are a doctor, a sculptor or a programmer – we can build great things together. Technology does not materialize by itself, but rather it grows from cooperation between different fields and from people who envision the future without limitations.
